Hi All!

Hope everyone has had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and you’re looking forward to a Happy New Year.

While I’m still working on categorizing all of my affiliate programs, I wanted to take time and do a post about IM ADD.

What the heck? Yeah, Internet Marketing Attention Deficit Disorder.

The market is flooded with ways to start an IM biz and there are tons of programs out there to help you do that. As an affiliate, you can flit from branch to branch trying to find a good fit.

My advice? Pick someone you like and hang out with them. Pick a couple, maybe, but definitely not hundreds.

Believe me, I am an IM ADD-er. That’s why I have to sit down and slog through all the programs I’ve signed up for and looked at.

And my 2009 resolution is this: when I sign up as an affiliate, I’m going to look at the material right then instead of waiting. It’s too easy to lose track — like I did — of what to promote and why.

Here are my top gurus:

Mike Filsaime
Jeff Johnson
Howie Schwartz
Michael Rasmussen
Paul Evans

I’ve gotten the most from those 5 guys. Interesting, though, there aren’t any women in that list. Wonder why?

If you feel like you’re going to suffer from IM ADD, stop. Take a deep breath. Pick a day on your calendar to look through all of the material you have and then move forward.

And realize that you aren’t going to make 6 figures in 6 weeks. It takes time and effort to get good at the IM game. It’ll happen.

IM is also about trying new things to see what works for you. IM is the most customizeable business there is. And being your own boss is the only safe job right now.

More later!

Best — Vic

Hi All:

Since Christmas is a time of renewal and rebirth, I’ve decided to let you shadow me as I venture out into the online marketing arena.

Now, I’ve made a little money from IM in the past year or two but not enough. Not nearly enough.

I thought I’d use Mike’s instant platform as a test run for some things. It’s certainly got a great concept — Mike is letting us partner with him and has spent buckets of time and money to create a very user friendly platform for those who are new to IM and blogging in general.

Goals. Yeah. Those things. Sometimes I think they’re worthwhile and sometimes I think they’re barriers. Anybody else feel that way?

My biggest issue at this moment is having waaay too much affiliate stuff and courses. I need to focus. I also need to be diligent about working on it everyday.

IM gurus out there talk about finding a way that works for you and repeating it. But there isn’t one single way that works all the time.

As a chef, I tend to mix `n match recipes to suit my tastes.

And that’s exactly what I plan to do here.

So. Let’s get started.

My first step will be to organize the products and programs I already have. Next, pick one and use promotion tools found in the affiliates area. Fine. But where are you going to promote?

That’ll be for tomorrow…

See ya soon – Vic

Hi Again!

Okay. I’ve sat down at my computer and started to go through everything I’ve signed up for and I thought I’d make sure you knew what I’ve done to organize things.

Sometimes I just need a plain old pencil and paper, know what I mean? I took out an old composition book — remember them? the ones with a black and white mottled cover? They’re great for journaling and keeping your ideas and information in one place.

I started writing down each affiliate program I have and even opening them up to refresh my memory about what they are, what they do and what I can sell as an affiliate. Some have just affiliate rights, some are private label (or PLR) and some have master resale rights (that’s when you can sell them and give away the right to resell to your customer).

I’ll also use an Excel spreadsheet to keep a copy on my laptop. Here are the headings I’ve used:

Name of Program

Type (software, ebook, home study course…)

Rights/License

Category

The category part is important for me because I do a lot of things: health, wealth, electronics, that sort of thing.

That’s about it for now. Need to get cookin’ for Christmas.

More later!

Hi Guys,

Mike Filsaime just came out with what many (including myself) are calling his best product ever.

And I am not saying that only because he gives it to you free.

I am saying it because when you see the video demo at the link below you will be blown away by what is probably the best produced “Plug and Play” software even given to beginners to start their online business.

http://www.mpentinc.com/instantaffiliatewebsite.html

Words like “Drag-N-Drop” and “Instant”and “Easy” have finally come to Internet Marketing Beginners with no hype.

Mike if giving you free hosting, as well as 30 products of his to sell as his partner.

Yes, you are actually partnering with Mike Filsaime and he is giving you the site to do it!

Also, Mike is also giving you some other items for free like his 7 Figure Secrets report shipped to your door as well as items instantly like his $97 best seller “The Butterfly Marketing Manuscript”.

You get ALL THIS as a free trial to his print monthly newsletter that he will send to you for free too. Just tell him where to ship it and pay the small s&h charge.

Anyways, you must get access to this if you are starting out and want a website that converts and allows you to earn a real income online with some of the Internets best selling programs!

Thanks

PS - Mike is not sure how long he is giving this away for free to his newsletter members. He said it may go as an additional $97 / mo stand alone product so make sure to get it now while you can for free.

Hello All:

I recently stumbled across something on t he Net that I thought was pretty cool.

My first reaction was “why aren’t they
selling this”?

Then my second reaction was “who cares, just
download it while it’s free!”

http://www.mpentinc.com/InternetMarketingNewsletter.html

If this doesn’t create controversy I don’t
know what will - especially when there are
other competitive products being sold for
$47, $97 and even $297 a MONTH!

If you sell anything on the web, then this
will be something you’ll likely refer to
again and again.

When you see who’s involved you be shocked
that it’s being given away for free.

Enjoy!

Victoria

P.S  I’d go pick up your first copy before it
gets moved to the archives.

Hi All:

It’s been a few weeks since I last blogged and that’s because my schedule was upside down. Making ends meet isn’t just about money; it’s also about time.

People are scrambling. Whether you have a traditional job — my father in law can’t get his head around my self-employment — or are facing a layoff or are self employed, times are tough.

So what do you do? What do you do when your savings is running out, you have a family depending on you and Christmas is around the corner?

The Internet.

I’ve been making a living on the Net for 5 years. Is it a 6 figure income? Nope. But I’ve never missed a mortgage payment. Renowned Internet Marketer Jim Edwards said it best, I think: If you can make a little from a lot of sources, that’s your ticket.

Sure, there are lots of “gurus” out there touting their latest program and telling you that they make a comfy 6 or 7 figure income working 3 minutes a day.

Don’t believe it.

Being a self-employed Internet marketer is hard work. But worth while. It’ll help you make ends meet.

And making ends meet in this depression — sorry, that’s exactly what it is — will be a daily challenge. I was once chastised by a listener on a 3 Chix teleseminar for saying we were in a recession as long ago as this past March. The Economic Council says the recession started in December 2007 — ah! Sweet vindication!

My good friend Beth Erickson says this: Imperfect action trumps perfect inaction every time. She’s right.

Got bills to pay? Go out and do something about it. If you’re sitting at home wondering how to pay the rent,   get on the Net and start a new career.

Just do something.

And you’ll make ends meet.
